Essential Video Analytics (EVA) is a video analytics technology embedded in Bosch cameras, designed to detect, classify, and analyze events in real time.

This feature identifies predefined behaviors, such as intrusions, suspicious movements, or abandoned objects, enabling automated and accurate responses in video monitoring systems, with processing performed directly in the camera.

How Does It Work?

Essential Video Analytics (EVA) is a video analytics technology embedded directly in Bosch cameras, designed to make video monitoring smarter and more efficient. EVA can process and analyze video in real time, automatically identifying relevant events and reducing the need for continuous monitoring by human operators.

  • Intelligent motion detection: EVA can distinguish relevant movement, such as the presence of a person or vehicle, from irrelevant movement, such as leaves in the wind or shadows, drastically reducing false alarms.
  • Object classification: The system can identify and classify objects such as vehicles, people, and other items, allowing operators to configure specific alerts for each type of object.
  • Behavior detection: EVA allows specific behaviors to be defined to trigger automatic alerts, such as restricted-area intrusions, abandoned objects, virtual line crossing, or even suspicious behavior such as repetitive or slow movements in sensitive areas.
  • Custom areas of interest: Users can define specific zones within the camera field of view to monitor, ensuring detection and alarm triggering occur only when significant events happen in those areas.
